Fri 14th August 2009 06:45 by Peter Harvey Ledra aurita This planthopper is not often seen and there are few records in Essex. Have you got a grid reference? It is usually associated with oak, or lichen-covered trees, and the nymphs especially have excellent camouflage (see http://www.britishbugs.org.uk/homoptera/Cicadellidae/Ledra_aurita.html ). I myself have only ever found this on 3 occasions. link
