This beetle is indeed a major problem for gardeners as it can totally destroy any chance of a flower. The advice given is to pick off the offending aliens and destroy them...just the same for Rosemary beetle too. It seems a great shame as they look lovely! I solved the problem by ceasing to grow lilies.
